Sample OMG Sales Insights Report

Written by Lushin | Tue, Oct 13, 2026

Do you know exactly why your sales team is missing its numbers? Most leaders have a guess. Very few have the data.

When results stall, the usual fixes are more activity, a new CRM, or another round of training. But if you don't know which skills and beliefs are holding each salesperson back, you're guessing at the cure.

Lushin uses Objective Management Group (OMG) sales team evaluations to replace that guess with data. Every salesperson on the team receives a personal Sales Insights report showing where they're strong, where they're limited, and what to work on first.

What Is a Sales Insights Report?

A Sales Insights report is the individual report each salesperson receives after an OMG sales team evaluation. It scores them on 21 sales-specific competencies, compares them with top-performing salespeople, and shows the gaps they need to close. Because it's written directly to the salesperson, it becomes the starting point for their coaching and personal development plan.

What's Inside the Sample Report

  • A letter from leadership. A sample note explaining why the team is being evaluated and asking each salesperson to complete a Personal Action Plan.
  • 21 core competency scores across Will to Sell, Sales DNA, and Tactical selling, each against a target.
  • Strengths and opportunities for growth for every competency, written in plain language.
  • Self-limiting beliefs the salesperson holds, paired with the supportive beliefs they can build through training and coaching.
  • A detailed breakdown of each tactical skill, from Hunting and Qualifying to Closing and Sales Technology.
  • Role-specific competencies, including Sales Posturing, Negotiating, Building Trust, Account Management, and Farming.

The 21 Sales Competencies Every Salesperson Is Measured On

Will to Sell

Desire, Commitment, Outlook, Responsibility, and Motivation. Will to Sell measures a salesperson's drive to succeed. Without it, it's hard for anyone to change habits or learn new skills.

Sales DNA

Doesn't Need Approval, Stays in the Moment, Supportive Beliefs, Supportive Buy Cycle, Comfortable Discussing Money, and Handles Rejection. Sales DNA measures the beliefs and habits that support or limit success in front of a prospect. Salespeople are often unaware of how these affect their conversations.

Tactical Selling

Hunting, Reaching Decision-Makers, Relationship Building, Consultative Selling, Selling Value, Qualifying, Presentation Approach, Closing, Sales Process, and Sales Technology.

Sales Insights Report vs. Sales Candidate Assessment

Both reports measure the same 21 competencies, but they serve different purposes. The Sales Candidate Assessment is a pre-hire screen written for the hiring manager, with a hiring recommendation and interview tips. The Sales Insights report is for salespeople already on your team. It's written to the salesperson and focused on development: what to improve and how.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the sample report based on a real salesperson?

No. The sample uses a fictional salesperson and a fictional company so you can see the complete report format.

How does a sales team evaluation work?

Each salesperson completes OMG's online assessment. Leadership receives an analysis of the team as a whole, and each salesperson receives their own Sales Insights report.

Will my salespeople feel judged?

The report tells each salesperson up front that growth areas are sales-specific, not a critique of them as a person. Most salespeople find it useful to see exactly what's holding them back and what to work on next.

What happens after the evaluation?

The findings show where training and coaching will make the biggest difference. Lushin coaches turn the results into a development plan for each salesperson and the team, delivered through sales training and ongoing sales coaching. Talk to a coach about evaluating your team.
